Chia seeds are a great source of fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. You are able to eat them raw or even soak them. Eating them raw is not harmful; but if you were to let the seeds soak it will make it easier for your body to digest them and access the dense nutrients that is inside them. In my opinion, you always want to get the most nutrition out of any food that you eat, so I prefer soaking them.
Benefits of Eating Chia Seeds:

*You are able to make all kinds of chia seed puddings, below is one of my favourite combinations and I would like to share it with you.*
Dark Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding
- 1 cup Dark Chocolate Almond Milk
- 3 tbsp. Chia Seeds
- ¼ tsp. of Vanilla Extract (natural sweetener of your choice)
Mix the dark chocolate almond milk with the vanilla or a natural sweetener of your choice.
Mix in the chia seeds into the liquid, make sure to mix it well so it doesn’t clump together. Let sit for 5 minutes then stir the mixture again. Then place the chia seed mixture into the fridge and let set for 2 hours (you can make this mixture the night before and have it for breakfast).
After you let the mixture chill, pour it in to a bowel and top it with your favourite fruits.
